A sexual assault takes place in American society every 2 minutes. A sexual assault within the U.S. military (the majority on women) takes place every 20 minutes. The U.S. society and the U.S. military have a severe problem of sexual assault. The question here is: why is this happening? Why is U.S. society, which is supposed to have attained such a high level of women’s emancipation beset by such problems? Our guess is that encoding women’s equality as law is not sufficient to change attitudes. The objectification of women as sexual beings in a consumer culture that prizes instant gratification leads to an environment where men often profess their respect for women in public, but have very vile views of women in general in private. You can read an interesting article on this topic here.

According to website Foreign Policy:

Military officials’ attempts to blame the crisis on American society have understandably been clumsy. During a May 7 Senate Armed Services Committee hearing, Gen. Welsh attributed the rates of sexual assault in the military, in part, to the “hookup mentality of junior high.”

The magazine goes on to acknowledge that though Walsh’s statement may be politically incorrect, there is reality in them. Young boys and girls in the U.S. now think it is ok to have casual sex with multiple partners. Boys feel entitled to such access.

Islam is often condemned as being misogynistic by ignorant commentators in the West. There is no doubt that the abuse of women occurs in Muslim lands as well. But, if one examines Islam and its attitudes towards women, one sees that there is realism there. Islam tells women to cover themselves and tells men to lower their gazes. It asks for modesty in relationships between the opposite sexes, and condemns promiscuity. In the West, any such request would instantly be condemned as repressing ‘freedom’ and being ‘sexist.’ Therefore, women in the West continue to be sacrificed at the altar of freedom and gender equality.

The brutality was terrible. The two men, whom some observers called “crazed” first ran over with their car and then hacked to death Lee Rigby. Rigby has been identified by CNN as a drummer in the 2nd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers. He had served in Afghanistan as well.

There is no doubt that Western intervention and invasion in Muslim lands has brought with it horrific crimes. From men and women being gang raped, to fourteen year old girls killed and burnt after being raped, to mass detentions and torture to the millions of children killed by sanctions, bombs and other methods, the ongoing slaughter makes the average Muslim very angry.

However, and this cannot be stated enough, what these two lunatics/idiots did is inexcusable. It puts Islam in a bad light and it does nothing to alleviate the suffering of those being oppressed by British and American forces and intelligence agencies.

From a British perspective, what is ironic is that the MI6 and British special forces are supporting the very takfeeri, salafist, Saudi inspired forces in Syria that inspired these two murderers.

If the British and American people want to rid themselves of this kind of despicable, mind numbing terror, they should immediately petition their government to stop supporting Saudi Arabia, which is the mother ship of this particular distortion of islam.

Syrian troops have entered the strategic town of Qusayr, the capital of the province of Homs in Syria. Qusayr is an important location because with its recapture, the rest of Homs will fall as well. Homs provides a northern link with the Lebanese city of Tripoli and Turkey. If Homs falls, the rebel armies’ supply routes will be affected and they will be severely weakened. You can read details on this here. With the U.S. unable to intervene militarily and with Israel not daring to do so without big brother’s help, the situation in Syria is turning against the rebels. One of the biggest losers here will be Turkey, with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who was dreaming of an Ottoman resurgence. He is already facing stiff opposition in Turkey, with protesters opposed to his misadventures clashing with police in Istanbul and other locations. He will likely try to throw his foreign minister Ahmet Davutoglu under the bus to deflect he political fall out from his little foreign policy stunt. Ahmet Davutoglu is widely seen as the Paul Wolfowitz of Turkey’s foray into Syria.

Another big loser will be Qatar, which had dreamed of taking on and replacing Saudi Arabia as the main broker of terrorism in the region. Iran has very cleverly negotiated with an increasingly chastened Saudi Arabia behind the scenes while shutting out Qatar. This severely weakens Qatar and brings an end to its little fitna adventure. Saudi Arabia, according to most reports, seems to be realizing that it cannot win in Syria and is looking to come up with some kind of solution that will save its face.

Israel, as has been the pattern in the past starting with its humiliating defeat in 2006, is completely screwed. It had been delighted and celebrated in private at the thought of Assad falling and Syria being a chaotic mess unable to threaten it any longer. Now, it faces the prospect of not only a consolidated Syria under the leadership of a very angry Assad, but more advanced weapons in the hands of Hizbollah.

History tells us that when the situation gets desperate, and when Israel feels it can, it takes drastic military action to try and salvage a bad situation. Israel is like a heroin addict that can’t stop. However, as Ibrahim Al-Amin very aptly points out, Israel would be making a big mistake if it acts on any such notion.

The biggest winner here is the Muslim Ummah. With American/Israeli/Saudi/Qatar/Turkish attempts to create a rift between various Muslim groups failing, and with the defeat of Al Qaeda in Syria, Sunni-Shi’i unity against imperialism/Zionism is further strengthened.

Foxnews.com, ever the reliable mouth piece of Israel, is very concerned about what is happening in Syria. (You can read the story here). To all those that are concerned about the events in Syria and are confused as to which side is right or wrong, we would present this as evidence: Israel, Foxnews.com, John McCain and other neo-cons and conservatives are very frustrated and angry at the events in Syria. They are very concerned with the “human rights” of Syrians. When the bloodshed in Rawanda was occurring, during which over 800,000 were slaughtered in mere weeks, none of this uproar existed. Why the sudden concern for the people of Syria? And, if the concern is genuine, why the pressure on opposition members (including Moaz Al Khatib) not to negotiate a political solution to the unending violence? The answer is simple: Neither John McCain, nor Foxnews.com nor Israel give a damn about Syrians dying. As an Israeli official recently admitted, Israel doesn’t care what the Syrians do to each other.

The only reason Israel, Foxnews.com and John McCain care about Syria is because it is a place where American power and prestige and Israeli survival are on the line. America was once used to being a superpower that could do whatever it wanted whenever it wanted. The nineties were especially lovely, with everybody (but Iran) kowtowing to the powerful Americans. Well, those days are over. Every party must come to an end, and this imperialist part has ended. Syria is proof of the utter powerlessness of the U.S. to save its favorite step child: Israel. Israel knows that after Assad survives and consolidates himself, the end will be ever closer. No longer able to rely on military threats to survive, the Zionist state will be limited in its ability to oppress and terrify. And that was the only thing that enabled it to survive the oppression of Palestinians.

Zionists often use the cover of “free speech” to justify their vile, despicable attacks on the Holy Prophet (p). But, they are easily exposed. Of course, these same Zionist would never dare to attack the Holy Prophet (p) in an academic setting where their objections and attacks would be exposed for the hatred and rancor that motivates them. Rather, they expose their true nature by using “art,” “freedom of speech” and other excuses to launch childish, vile, and low brow attacks on this Holy personality.

But, God has a funny way of exposing those that engage in this kind of behavior.

Observe Zionist reaction to a play in Germany that they find offensive. The play was cancelled immediately because the Israeli ambassador and other Zionists found it offensive. What is truly offensive is the Zionist exploitation of the Holocaust to justify the slow motion Holocaust of Palestinian culture, identity and peoples.

You can read the story and observe Zionist double standards on free speech at the link below.

Please watch this video at your own discretion. It is extremely graphic.

In a new low for terrorists operating in Syria, a man is seen cutting up the body of a dead Syrian soldier and eating what appears to be his heart and other internal organs on video. Khalid Al Hamad is a prominent commander who is well known in the region. Hamad commands the Omar Al Farouk brigade.

The video has been verified as authentic by Syrian rebels. According to CNN, Tariq al Sayed, a spokesman from the Homs neighborhood of Baba Amr, the Al-Hamad is a friend of his.

The Syria “opposition” tried to justify the video by saying that ”This is not just a normal person who sits home. He has had two brothers killed. His mom and dad were detained, and the rest of his family displaced.”

Really? So all the Syrians whose family members have been abducted, tortured, brutally beheaded and otherwise killed by Syrian terrorists fighting the government should start cutting out the hearts of people and eating them?

The Syrian terrorists really have no shame. First they start a bloody conflict, then they blame others for their own barbaric behavior.

Hamad also says:

“Hopefully we will slaughter all of them [Alawites]. I have another video clip that I will send to them. In the clip I am sawing another Shabiha [pro-government militiaman] with a saw. The saw we use to cut trees. I sawed him in small pieces and large ones.”

Amid growing calls for his arrest, Al-Hamad has tried to alleviate the pressure by claiming that the cannibalized soldier’s phone had videos and pictures of a dead women and her two daughters who were abused. Apparently, this makes it ok to engage in cannibalism. Al Hamad’s claims have not been proven and given the fact that he eats people and does God knows what else are not very reliable.

In a side note, it is interesting that CNN and Time.com are now reporting such stories. It is a sign perhaps that certain elements within the U.S. establishment are now giving up on any military victory in Syria.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE May 13, 2012

The Toronto Board of Rabbis (TBR) expresses its profound disappointment that a local Jewish organization has extended an invitation to Pamela Geller, a blogger who is known for her extreme criticism of Muslims in language that is intended to shock and ridicule. The TBR is a strong supporter of freedom of speech for all, including Ms. Geller. Ms. Geller’s voice and message are already well known here in Canada and beyond. There was no sense in inviting her here to Toronto to speak before a Jewish audience. Sadly the only sure result of this event will be increasing tensions within the Jewish community and between Jews and Muslims in Toronto. The TBR, which represents rabbis from all denominations of Judaism, wishes to make clear to all that it finds the invitation distasteful, just as it finds Ms. Geller’s views distasteful. We dissociate ourselves from the actions of the radical fringe Jewish group that extended the invitation. We call for more events here in Toronto that will build up friendship and understanding between local Jews and Muslims.
